MARNI H&M SPRING 2012 MEN & WOMEN COLLECTION BY DESIGNER CONSUELO CASTIGLIONI + ACCESSORIES

H&M Marni Collection for Spring  2012 is the latest guest designer collaboration for H&M, after successful launches with brands like Karl Lagerfeld, Stella McCartney, Comme des Garçons, Jimmy Choo, Lanvin and Fall Winter 2011 with Versace. Marni for H&M clothing and accessories will retail from March 8, 2012 in around 260 stores worldwide and online.

Luxury Italian brand Marni is famed for its original prints, cut,  elegant silhouette with playful  inventive spirit. Founder and Creative Director Consuelo Castiglioni has created for H&M a spring collection for both women and men with signature prints and pattern in coordinating modern colourful designs and craftsmanship, capturing the essence of Marni. The all-over prints in strong colours are intended to be worn together in layers that both match and clash in true Marni style.

“I wanted to create a true Marni wardrobe by revisiting all our favorite pieces in signature fabrics and prints. As always, I love juxtaposing prints and colours, mixing modern tribal with Bauhaus graphic adding sporty utilitarian elements”. Consuelo Castiglioni, Founder and Creative Director.

Marni H&M Women collection is a palette of vivid colours and bold prints, be they African inspired or simpler colour blocks. The silhouettes are all Marni staples, with full pleated skirts, dresses, cropped trousers and jacquard knits, while fabrics range from silk to crisp cotton poplin. Jewellery, shoes, bags and scarves complete the Marni look.

H&M Marni For Men collection uses subtle print, often as a lining or as a contrast detail for shirts, the silhouette a modern and relaxed take on masculine classics. The colours and fabrics are softened for a relaxed take on menswear staples that  are truly Marni.
