Big Thank You to Maybelline and Cozy Cot for the invitation to the exclusive Maybelline Pure Minerals Launch Party on a lovely Friday evening at trendy PureColor Studio.

I was one of the lucky 12 babes to be invited for this exclusive highly anticipated launch.

While mingling with the other guests, we had the opportunity to look at the Spa, Facial, Hair care, Makeover facilities at PureColor Studio.

PureColor Studio is a Premier Professional Hairstyle and Makeup Studio managed by International Award-winning hair stylists Lucus and Jerry who won L'Oreal Professional Hairstyling contests as well as Wella Professional contests. The stylists and make up artistes were really friendly folks and made us feel at ease. I'm really looking forward to the makeover styling session later.

THE EXPERIENCE

We were given the opportunity to test the foundation shades to see which shades are suitable. I had fun testing the 3 foundation shade currently available out of the 4 Asian shades.

P01 Light Pink Ochre for fair shade with pink tone, OC1 Light Ochre for beige skin tone and W02 Natural Ocher for medium to tanned skin tone.

The blushers comes in 3 shades, Gentle pink, Lovely pink and True peach.

Ample time were given to have a hands on makeover using Maybelline extensive range of products including their best selling products like foundation, compact powder, mascaras, eye liners, impact express smooth eye shadow pencil, high shine lipsticks and of course the latest Pure minerals foundation and blushers.

Friendly Maybelline Makeup Specialists were around to give us advice on makeover too!

I never knew they have a concealer and blemish pen. This is really useful. It’s a concealer and you just dot on any area that coverage is needed and helps to keep pimples at bay ! Great for under eyes and those annoying spots.

THE RESULT
Maybelline Pure Minerals Foundation gave me a near air brush coverage and natural healthy glow. It’s so light that you don’t feel you are wearing any foundation !

Say goodbye to liquid foundation and loose powder.It’s a 2-in-1 product ! It’s highly blendable and hides my uneven skin tone, fine lines and freckles and even out my skin tone resulting in a healthy luminous glow.

Another plus point is that :- A little goes a long way. It’s a great value for money product as it gives mega mileage. The 100% natural hair short kabuki brush that was included was soft enough to pick up the right amount of powder and is handy to slip into your makeup pouch !

Meanwhile, the stylists were waiting patiently to give us a hair makeover to complete the look !

I was lucky to have Lucus, the Creative Director of PureColor Studio to style my hair for me. It’s a rare chance as I need not be on the waiting list as Lucus is highly sought after by loads of various high profile fashion magazines for styling, makeup and photo shoot.

Lina also shared with us that the lifespan of the Lancôme Ôscillation power mascara is around 180 applications; twice more than the formula contained inside the tube. This works out to approx. 4 month as Lancôme Ôscillation mascara is 8ml compare to the usual 6ml mascara in the market.
Lina and other Lancôme managers came round to give us further advice on how to use an eye lash curler and the Lancôme Ôscillation mascara. They were patient and shared with us other eye makeup tips.

I eagerly waited for my turn to try this revolutionary vibrating mascara. As I am not very good in applying mascara, I cautiously and slowly hold the mascara to my lashes. I pressed the button on top of the mascara and it vibrates. Using an upward motion, I hold it to my lashes and use it like any mascara. Voila ! You can see the immediate volumizing, lengthening and lifting from the first application. Use it twice or more for more dramatic intensifying lashes ! I’m sold! Its worth the price of $68 as one coat is all u need to see the alluring effects.
