I was elated to receive an invite from Samsung for their very first Samsung Pixon 12 food photography workshop . I had the opportunity to try Samsung Pixon 12 a few months back and i was impressed by the slim sleek phone with clear graphics and camera functions.
Winston gave an overall view product introduction of Pixon 12 and Lawrence of ‘The Peep Show machine’ gave an introduction to photography.
Winston mentioned several new applications found only in Samsung Pixon 12 with xenon flash like 3.1 AMOLED full touch screen , 28mn wide angle, smart auto and AF tracking , beauty shot , power LED and media browser.
Lawrence explained the basic functions in a camera and the different effects that it would give. Lawrence also prepared some food, plates, cutlery and other props to demonstrate how to take good pictures of food.
Style composition of food is important to present a good picture. Lawrence mentioned that its always a good idea to decorate the background with colorful serviettes, use a nice plate and place the food nicely for a great picture.
I have heard raves about The Garden Slug from my friends though i have never visited the cafe although i lived considerably near in the east.Tucked in a quiet lane in Telok Kurau Lor L, its a relaxing cafe with great food and cheerful mates. The nice people of The Garden Slug prepared such a feast to pamper us, courteousy of Samsung Singapore.
My favourite and most decadent dessert ~ Triple Chocolate Brownie Popsicle , a hot favourite with diners.
My delicious lunch
Sophia , 1 of the slug explained the concept behind The Garden Slug and the dishes she had prepared for our hands on photography session using Samsung Pixon 12.
Close up of the yummy food at The Garden Slug.
Lawrence mentioned we could make the subject look more interesting by swirling and holding up with a fork .
It was great to be in the company of food and photography lovers. Cheers Samsung for the invite and The Garden Slug for the warm hospitality.
