GATSBY DANCE COMPETITION 2012 – ASIA GRAND FINALS IN JAPAN WITH FISHBOY & CHARISMA KANTORO

Gatsby Dance competition will take place for the 4th consecutive year in 2012 to search for Asia’s best student dancer from 8 countries – Japan, Singapore, Hong Kong, Indonesia, Korea, Malaysia,  Taiwan and Thailand.

Charisma Kantoro, the organizer of Japan's biggest dance event, [DANCE@LIVE] and loader of house team [XYON] together with  Fishboy the host of the popular TV show, DANCETV who is renowned for his dance choreography are the guest Judges for this popular dance competition.

The  contest accepts all dance genres - Hip-hop, Reggae, B-boy, Popping, Locking, Freestyle. 1 - 3 members are allowed per team, and only students can join the contest.

Teams will compete in 1 preliminary round, where renowned local dancers will make up the judging panel. After which,  8 teams will be selected to compete in the Singapore Final which will be held at Far East Plaza on 18thFebruary 2012, where a winning team is decided upon to represent Singapore.

The winning teams from the 8 countries will attend an exclusive dance workshop with Fishboy.

The GATSBY Singapore Champion  will fly on an all-expenses  paid trip to represent Singapore in the GATSBY Dance Competition Asia Grand Final in Tokyo, Japan on 10th March. The overall winner of the Asia Grand Final will be rewarded with a once-in-a-lifetime opportunity to go on an all-expenses paid dance exchange tour to any 1 of the 8 participating countries and experience the different dance cultures in Asia!
