FLESH IMP SCAPE FLAGSHIP STORE OPENING AND SUMMER 2011 MEDIA LAUNCH

FLESH IMP  celebrated its 11th Anniversary with the grand opening of   its Flagship Megastore at SCAPE Orchard, Singapore.


Flesh Imp Summer 2011 Collection,  Scrap Yard Blues and two new merchandise categories – Men’s Shoes and Kids Tees were also showcased to the media, famous personalities like actor Julian Hee, stage thespians Cynthia Lee MacQuarrie and Keegan Kang, Singer Jones Shi Kang Jun, radio deejay/host Lin Peifen and Flesh Imp associates.



Spanning across 1,300 square feet, the new store combines the aesthetics of a leather smith workshop and a New York warehouse loft charm, furnishings and fixtures made of recyclable materials accompanied  a storage style mezzanine that complete the warehouse-feel of the store.



DJ Ghetto spins a special FLESH IMP remix at the opening preview.

Guests were treated to Flesh Imp Summer 2011 Scrape Yards Blue Collection together with Men’s and Kids Collection.



In conjunction with the opening, Flesh Imp collaborated with Canon to organize the  Flesh Imp X Canon “Fashion Photo Journal” Competition,  where  a total of nearly  600 entries  were received for Lifestyle and Look Book Category. 10 finalists work were displayed and 2 grand winners won the latest Canon 1100D and Flesh Imp Capsule Collection.

SHANGHAI TANG SCUBA CLASS 888 LAUNCHED IN SINGAPORE RAFFLES CITY

SHANGHAI TANG Scuba Class 888  splashed into Shanghai Tang Raffles City, Singapore at the aqua-themed Media Launch last Wednesday. A vibrant sporty and water resistant summer watch, The Scuba Class 888  is a fine blend of Chinese power and creativity.

Shanghai Tang's Executive Chairman Raphaël le Masne de Chermont was present to grace the Singapore Launch. An aquarium with Scuba 888 watches were displayed prominently at the store front.

Amidst Blue lagoon cocktails and canapés,  guests were introduced to Shanghai Tang  Scuba Class 888, the first diving watch inspired primarily by China's innovations in underwater engineering.

Taking inspiration from Yuan Class Type 041, the newest diesel-electric submersible watercraft in the People's Liberation Army Navy with the black and white graphics of gauges and machinery details, Scuba Class 888 is sleek, robust and modern.

The stainless steel case, 44mm in diameter is crafted with a transparent back to showcase its 22-jewel automatic mechanical movement. It also features a unique screw down crown engraved with Shanghai Tang's star motif, and guarantees water resistance up to a depth of 888 feet.

Eight, the most auspicious of all numbers in Chinese culture, is highlighted as the only number represented as a Chinese character (八) on the dial. The all-black watch face features strong white numerals and luminescent minute and hour hands with additional details, like the second hand, are accented in bold orange or royal blue.
