Scoot New Destinations Routes on Embraer E190-E2 to Koh Samui | Sibu additional flights to Krabi | Hat Yai | Miri | Kuantan

Scoot, the low-cost airline subsidiary of Singapore Airlines (SIA) will be using its fleet of new Embraer E190-E2 aircraft, flying from Singapore to 6 South East Asia destinations including new flight routes to Koh Samui and Sibu plus  existing destinations in Miri and Kuantan in Malaysia as well as Hat Yai and Krabi in Thailand.

Scoot’s E190-E2 services will begin in May 2024 with inaugural flights for Krabi on May 7, after the first of nine aircraft is delivered in April from Embraer’s manufacturing facility in São José dos Campos, Brazil.

The second E2 is also scheduled for delivery in April 2024 and Scoot will operate to four additional cities – Koh Samui, Kuantan, Miri, and Sibu. 


Daily flights to Koh Samui will commence from 13 May 2024, with the frequency progressively increased to twice daily from early June 2024. The flight frequency to Krabi and Hat Yai will increase from seven times to ten times weekly. 

Scoot will launch thrice weekly flights to Sibu from 5 June 2024. It will increase frequency to Miri and Kuantan from three to four times weekly from 20 May 2024 and 3 June 2024 respectively.

United Airlines USA to New Zealand & Australia New Flight Routes 2023/2024

UAL new flight routes includes San Francisco U.S. to Christchurch, New Zealand non-stop direct flight, Los Angeles to Brisbane and Auckland, more flights from San Francisco to Brisbane and Sydney and larger aircrafts to Melbourne from December 1, Winter 2023/2024.

United will be the only carrier to directly connect the U.S. with South Island of New Zealand,  offering the most comprehensive global route network among North American carriers combined, with 66 United Airlines flights weekly to the South Pacific and Oceania.

UAL travellers will enjoy one-stop connections to more than 50 destinations in the region with Air New Zealand and Virgin Australia network.

United Airlines New Flight Routes 2023 / 2024 Winter

San Francisco U.S. – Christchurch, New Zealand*

United San Francisco-Christchurch non-stop service is the first and only direct flight connecting U.S. and Christchurch,  operateing on Boeing 787-8 Dreamliner thrice weekly from December 1, 2023.

Los Angeles U.S. – Auckland, New Zealand*

Next winter, United will build on its position as the largest U.S. airline to Auckland, adding four weekly flights from Los Angeles. 

United is the only U.S. carrier to serve Auckland year-round with its existing service from San Francisco. United will fly its Los Angeles-Auckland route on a Boeing 787-9 Dreamliner, starting October 28.

Los Angeles U.S. – Brisbane, Australia*

United was the only airline to offer direct flights between Brisbane and San Francisco in Winter 2022. On November 29 2023, United will add three weekly Los Angles-Brisbane flights on a Boeing 787-9 Dreamliner, becoming the largest carrier between the U.S. and Brisbane.

Additonal United to Australia Sydney and Brisbane Flights

United will offer daily flights between San Francisco and Brisbane on a Boeing 787-9 Dreamliner, flying nearly triple the number of passengers to Brisbane from the USA from October 28 2023, as well as twice daily between San Francisco and Sydney on Boeing 777-300ERs.

United San Francisco to Melbourne on 777-300 ER

United became the largest airline from the U.S. to Melbourne, increasing from ten to fourteen weekly roundtrip flights in 2022, with one daily flight from both San Francisco and Los Angeles in 2023 Winter. 

Starting this winter 2023 October 28, United will deploy its largest airplane 777-300ER on flights between San Francisco-Melbourne, adding nearly 100 daily seats to each departure.

Qatar Airways Premium Lounge Singapore opens at Changi Airport Terminal 1

Multiple award-winning airline, Qatar Airways reopens its fifth International Premium lounge at Singapore Changi Airport, inspired by Qatar Airways heritage and modern day Arabic architecture featuring an ultra luxurious interior, enhanced offerings and exceptional culinary cuisine with dedicated mixologist for a distinctive experience throughout the journey with Qatar Airway.

The new Qatar Airways Premium Singapore Lounge is available for Qsuite - Qatar Airways Business Class passengers, featuring seven different seating areas including the Principal Lounge, Quiet Pods, Garden Bistro, High Seating, Martini Bar, Brasserie and Private Lounge across approximately 700 square metres to accomodate about 85 passengers.

The Qatar Airways lounge is equipped with a full kitchen for freshly-prepared à la carte food orders on demand, on top of an existing buffet spread offering an international menu, catering to a premium culinary standard. A dedicated mixologist is stationed at the centrepiece Martini Bar, presenting mocktail and cocktail options to complete the five-star lounge experience.

Custom furniture pieces like the carefully designed sideboard, offer both style and comfort and are strategically placed next to the seats, and includes a lamp, universal plug point, wireless charger, a compartment suitable for storing handbags and personal belongings.

Qantas Airways First Class Suite A380 and First Lounge at Singapore Changi Airport relaunched

Qantas Airways First Class experience starts with First Lounge and onboard Airbus A380 First class suite with fully lay flat beds, premium Neil Perry multi-course dining experience, award winning Australian wine cellar and Martin Grant designed pyjamas on OneWorld Alliance flights.

The Qantas First cabin on the 485-seat A380 is popular with Qantas Frequent Flyers and will operate a daily return A380 flight from Sydney to Singapore and on to London as well as 20 A330 operated flights each week from Singapore to Sydney, Melbourne, Perth and Brisbane.

Qantas A380 aircraft’s premium cabins include 14 First Suites, 70 Business Suites, 60 Premium Economy seats and 341 Economy seats.


The upper deck lounge features booth style seating for 10 people, a self-service bar and an option to order signature drinks and snacks.

The Qantas First Lounge located at Singapore Changi Airport was designed by Australian industrial designer David Caon in collaboration with architect Kelvin Ho of Akin Atelier to provide a sense of calming luxury with a Singaporean twist featuring pops of greenery.


Launched in December 2019 and now reopen, The Qantas First Lounge operates alongside the existing Qantas Business Lounge to ensure all premier class travelling passengers have a enjoyable pre-flight experience.

The 1000 square metre lounge with a capacity for 240 guests features classic furniture combined with both modern designed pieces for dining, working and relaxing with 10 shower suites for passengers to freshen up.

Singapore to South Korea New Flights - T'way Air | Scoot | Jeju Air | Air Premia

Changi Airport Singapore air connectivity to Incheon South Korea will be boosted by 4 budget airlines - T'way Air, Scoot, Jeju Air and Air Premia this summer, making Changi Airport the second most connected to South Korea among airports across the globe.

T’way Air, South Korean low-cost carrier started its inaugural flights in Singapore with a twice weekly service to Seoul Incheon Airport on Airbus 330-300 offering 12 Business class and 335 economy class from 29 May. 

Air Premia, a hybrid airline which commenced Passenger Aircraft Carrying Cargo (PACC) operations in Changi Airport since December 2021, will operate a thrice weekly passenger service with Boeing 787-9 offering 56 premium economy and 256 economy seats from 29 June, to Seoul. 

Seoul city beckons with majestic Palaces -Gyeongbokgung, Changdeokgung and Gyeonghuigung, National Palace Museum of Korea, National Folk Museum, Seoul Namsan Tower, City of Kpop like BTS and Black Pink and K dramas Crash Landing on You and The Golbin. Jeju Air Co., South Korea's largest low-cost carrier, is the sole operator on the Singapore-Busan route, flying twice weekly with Boeing 737-800 offering 12 New Class (premium economy) seats and 162 economy to Gimhae International Airport from 25 June.

Singapore Airshow 2020 Aerial Display + Embraer E-195 E2 | Dassault Falcon 6X & 8X | HondaJet Elite Jet

Singapore Airshow 2020 showcased the latest Embraer E-195 E2 prototype "Profit Hunter" with TechLion plane livery, Dassault Falcon 6X and HondaJet Elite Jet - commercial and business aircrafts displayed for the first time at Asia’s largest and one of the most influential aerospace and defence exhibitions in the world, from 11th to 16th February 2020 at Changi Exhibition Centre, Singapore.



Deputy Prime Minster Heng Swee Keat officiated the Singapore Airshow 2020 opening ceremony at Marina Bay Sands.



The Singapore Airshow is the region’s most diversified and largest aerospace and defense marketplace, reflecting the leading edge, strengthening long-term partnerships and strategic collaborations across aviation and aerospace industry, featuring latest technology innovation trends like unmanned aerial vehicles, autonomous technology, smart technologies and cybersecurity.


Dr Ng Eng Hen, Minister for Defence and Mr Khaw Boon Wan, Coordinating Minister for Infrastructure and Minister for Transport graced the Singapore Airshow 2020 ribbon cutting ceremony and visited several exhibitors in the showhall and static display area.



Singapore Airshow 2020 witnessed JTC’s signings with aerospace companies to bring in $500 million new investments to expand the aerospace ecosystem and supplier networks; CAAS’ initiative with Airbus to improve regional connectivity in urban air mobility and ST Engineering’s five-year contract to provide nacelle maintenance services to Qantas Airways’ Boeing 737-800 and Airbus A330 fleet.



A showcase of new products and innovation like Dassault’s Falcon 6x, Airbus unveiling its blended wing body technology demonstrator to potentially provide up to 20% lower fuel consumption, Rolls Royce 25th Anniversary Trent engines, Pratt & Whitney new contracts, Mitsubishi SpaceJet M90 cabin display, ATR signing agreements and milestones are significant for Singapore Airshow.


ROLLS-ROYCE celebrates 25 years of Trent and future plans. It started manufacture of the world’s largest fan blades, for its UltraFan® demonstrator engine that will set new standards in efficiency and sustainability, offering a 25 per cent fuel reduction and emissions compared to the first generation of Trent engine.  Boeing Dreamliner 787 aircrafts uses trent engines.


Pratt & Whitney and AEGEAN Airlines celebrated the delivery of the airline’s first Airbus A320neo aircraft equipped with Pratt & Whitney GTF™ Engines while China Airline and Tiger Taiwan places their orders for GTF engine.



Rafik Mansour, Chargé d’Affaires, U.S. Embassy Singapore, said the prominent participation of U.S. industry in the show this year amplifies America’s year-round presence and purpose.

The US pavilion consist of more than 150 companies with 28 US states represented, including six stand-alone state pavilions — Arizona, North Carolina, Idaho, Oregon, Utah and West Virginia.


USA companies includes Lockheed Martin, Boeing, Pratt & Whitney, Bell helicopter, Gulfstream,  Textron Aviation,  making it the largest US presence ever at the Singapore Airshow, comprising of defence, security, aircraft, contractors, integrators, equipment manufacturers, small to medium enterprises and maintenance specialists at the Airshow.  

The inaugural Aerospace Media Awards Asia
sponsored by Lockheed Martin, Gulfstream, CAE, Pratt & Whitney and Collins Aerospace was held at Mandarin Oriental Hotel to recognise the outstanding talents in the aerospace media industry.

Praetor 600, Embraer Executive Jet latest innovation jet was scheduled for display at Singapore Airshow 2020 but changed its itinerary.

Embrarer commercial aviation have entered into a Joint Venture agreement, subject to final approval with Boeing owning 80% shares and Embrarer 20% in a new entity, Boeing Brasil Commerical.

The global success of the ATR attributes to its efficiency which uses 40% less fuel and emits 40% less CO2 than a regional Jet.

At Singapore Airshow 2020, ATR showcased its ClearVisionTM Enhanced Vision System (EVS), a world-first in commercial aviation and its Route Creation Model. This offers pilots greater situational awareness in conditions of reduced visibility and the ability to take-off and land with reduced minima, made to Guernsey and Bhutanese airlines Aurigny and Drukair, respectively.



ATR also announce that Singapore based lessor Avation PLC (AVAP: LSE) has converted two Purchase Rights into firm orders for two ATR 72-600 aircraft. The aircraft will be leased to Bangladeshi airline US-Bangla, the biggest private airline in Bangladesh

Honda Aircraft Company presented at Singapore Airshow 2020 the fastest, farthest and highest-flying plane in its class - The HondaJet Elite. 



Powered by the GE Honda Aero Engines HF120 with unique Over-The-Wing Engine Mount configuration, Natural Laminar Flow nose and wing, and composite fuselage, the HondaJet Elite is a beautiful jet with Tiffany blue and white livery.

Mitsubishi SpaceJet M90 showcased its spacious cabin  at Singapore Airshow 2020. It had completed its maiden flight with the first Pratt & Whitney GTF™ PW1200G engine assembled in Japan and is geared for final certification.


Mitsubishi Aircraft Corporation under Mitsubishi Heavy Industries, Ltd. develops, produces, sells and supports the Mitsubishi SpaceJet family of next-generation regional jets with the most spacious cabins, widest economy seats, highest aisle clearance and most overhead bin capacity of any aircraft in their class.

BMW returns as Official Car for Singapore Airshow 2020 as Performance Motors Singapore provide a fleet of 350 BMW 3 Series, BMW 5 Series and BMW 7 Series to shuttle VIP attendees.

Republic of Korea Air Force (ROKAF) Black Eagles Aerobatic Team T-50 was supposed to perform at Singapore AirShow 2020 but cancelled its participation.

Ba Yi, China’s People’s Liberation Army Air Force (PLAAF) aerobatics team performed exhilarating aerobatic manoeuvres with coloured smoke at Singapore Air show 2020.  


PLAFF showcased of a series of  choreographed manoeuvres, jaw-dropping stunts and synchronized  adrenaline-fuelled flying displays with precision and coordination between 6 Russian made J-10 jet to the delight of the mesmerized spectators.



Singapore Air Show visitors got up-close and personal with the first in Asia display range of commercial and military aircraft at the Static Aircraft Display Area.Area.


The spectators enjoyed love-band performances by The Band of the Pacific from the United States Air Force and the inaugural SG Experience which features home-grown F&B and lifestyle brands where Singapore brewery Brewerkz created Afterburner Pacific Pale Ale, specially for Singapore Airshow 2020.


The Singapore Airshow mascots, Captain Leo and Captain Leonette, made their appearances and mingled with the vistors.


Singapore Airshow 2020 partnered PIONEER, Singapore online defence publication, to produce and LIVE stream the aerobatic flying display for the first time, on 15 and 16 Feb, at 11.30am and 2.30pm on Singapore Airshow (www.singaporeairshow.com) and PIONEER's (www.defencepioneer.sg) website and social media channels, hosted by DJs from POWER 98 LOVE SONGS – Jerald Koh and 88.3JIA – Ben Lee, and veteran hosts Augustine Anthuvan and Desmond Lee. 


It was streamed live on www.meWATCH.sg (previously Toggle) and made available to regional broadcasters and online platforms via Globecast.



The Singapore Airshow 2020 welcomed over 930 participating companies from more than 45 countries, close to 30,000 trade visitors from more than 110 countries, where over 800 delegation meetings were concluded to establish networks and connect business opportunities around the world and over 20,000 public visitors despite Covid-19 virus concerns.



More than two-thirds of its key exhibitors committing to participate in Singapore Airshow 2022 - including Airbus, Boeing, Changi Airport Group, Diehl Defence, Elbit, Embraer, Hensoldt, Israel Aerospace Industries, L3 Harris, Lufthansa Technik, Pratt & Whitney, Rafael and ST Engineering.

Returning country pavilions for Singapore Airshow 2022 include USA, Australia, Canada, Germany, Malaysia and Switzerland.



Singapore Airshow 2022 will be held from 15 to 20 February at Changi Exhibition Centre, featuring an exciting line up of aerial performance and static aircraft displays, latest aerospace technology and aviation innovation.
