The legendary Chatterbox Singapore at Hilton Singapore Orchard have opened its latest restaurant at WEAVE Resort World Sentosa, the new premium mall located next to Universal Studios Singapore and Singapore Oceanarium, alongside with Pierre Hermé Paris Singapore, its first-ever Southeast Asia flagship store and a plethora offering of restaurants, cafes and popular  shops like Adidas, Birkenstock, Coach and Crocs.

Located at one end of WEAVE mall, nearer to Singapore Oceanarium, the space is modern with warm, tropical tones that beckons with a contemporary indoor and a pet -friendly al fresco seating, it is a very popular choice for everything from leisurely weekend brunches to family feasts, gatherings and even business meetings. 

Singapore Locally Delicious Dishes

Chatterbox Café offers tapestry of Singaporean flavours in a sophisticated  setting and a range of Chatterbox merchandise - great as Singapore souvenirs.

The must-order item is the signature favourite, Mandarin Chicken Rice. We can report that it tastes just as good as the original – and a tad healthier. The chicken was tender but less oily, while the rice was perfectly cooked and fragrant. The trio condiments goes well with the chicken, especially the ginger. The best part? Individual portion is now available at an exclusive price of $23++ while half a chicken (pictured above) would be great for sharing, with other dishes.

The expanded menu prominently features seafood, which makes it the ideal excuse to indulge in its iconic Chilli Crab at $168++ (1.2-1.4kg each). This is exclusively available for a limited time only at Chatterbox Café.

The chilli crab is drenched in a mildly spicy tomato-based sauce and stars Sri Lankan mud crabs that are fresh and fleshy. It could be a little too spicy for non-chilli lovers, perhaps could request for sauce to be served separately. 

The seafood menu will introduce more crab flavours like Black Pepper Sauce and Golden Fragrance “Kam Heong” Sauce as well as Sambal Tiger Prawns ($26++) prepared with the essential wok-hei for an authentic Singaporean taste.

Other items include local faves like Lobster Laksa ($36++), Beef Hor Fun ($24++), Seafood Hokkien Mee ($24++) with prawns, squid and pork belly,  Chatterbox Rojak ($13++) and Grilled Satay ($15++).

Chatterbox Cafe RWS Must Try

The Salted Egg Yolk Chicken Wings ($11++ for 4 piece) was voted the best we had at any restaurants or Zi Char coffee shops - Big, Crispy and Juicy chicken wings drenched in salted egg yolk sauce, definitely must order and make it a double.

The Peranakan Assam Barramundi ($26++) and Stir-fried King Prawns with Palm Sauce ($26++) are special mentions because we think they are excellent. 

The former features buttery, flaky barramundi fillet in a tangy sweet and sour Peranakan-style curry, while the latter has caramelised palm sugar sauce coating the prawns with bold flavour and wok-fired aroma. 

Quench your thirst with the Chatterbox Coconut Shake ($9++), a must-try made with fresh ingredients and crunchy coconut bits; or the boozy Signature Chatterbox’s Punch ($16++) made with gin infused with chilli, vanilla, cinnamon, lemon and banana, and served with house tonic. 

Heritage and Desserts

Drop by for nostalgic Peranakan Kuehs and a curated coffee and tea menu. Peranakan Kuehs like Sago Bandung and Sarang Semut, are made daily in the restaurant, with a rotated Kueh selection.

Grab a platter at $13++ for an assortment of the best picks. These delectable bites also make a gifting option to bring home to friends and family.
