Louis Vuitton unveiled its first ever Louis Vuitton Island Maison in Southeast Asia at Singapore Marina Bay Sands promenade on September 17th. The glass and steel Louis Vuitton pavilion sits sartorially on Singapore magnificent skyline as the 12th Maison in the world, joining the likes in Paris, USA, Japan, Taiwan and China.
Louis Vuitton Island Singapore was officiated in style and with much grandeur by International celebrity Ms. Cate Blanchett, Louis Vuitton Top management, Mr. S. Iswaran, Minister and Mr. Michael Leven, President of the Las Vegas Sands Corporation for ribbon cutting ceremony and champagne toast.
Featuring nautical inspired interior, Louis Vuitton invite their guests to be explorers, travelling and discovering its multiple facets as it pays homage to the travellers and spirit to the sea, experiencing a unique personal journey in its latest luxury South East Asia destination - Louis Vuitton Island Singapore Maison with gorgeous bay views in the crystal pavilion.
Louis Vuitton Island Maison can be accessed in three different ways – from the outdoor bridge, arriving via a boat and disembarking at Island jetty, or through Marina Bay Sands Shoppes Basement 2 (Next to Sephora)where a tunnel and ascending travelator will lead to the centre of the pavilion.
A signature trait that Louis Vuitton Island Singapore shares with other Louis Vuitton Maisons around the world is its commitment to the arts and cultural life of a city within its retail space.
The architectural pavilion marries luxury with art featuring cultural space with fifteen internationally recognized artists and a bookstore where a specially curated selection of books on travel, design, art and culture beckons.
Famed illustrator Ruben Tolledo artwork of Singapore culture is displayed by the staircase linking the watch and jewellery by the book store on the left side of the boutique.
The arts and cultural space kick off with a photography showcase including pieces by one very famous and unexpected artist – Hong Kong Superstar Chow Yun Fat, seen here with his artwork.
On the right is a selection of historic Louis Vuitton Luggage linked to the nautical world and transatlantic travels of the early 20th century and the photograph showcase on your left as you journey through the travelator.

Capturing the thrill and romance of the sea, the luxurious interior and fittings was designed by internationally acclaimed architect Peter Marino.
The design of high walls and teak woods ensure consistent daylight of the interior through the glass walls and the arrangement of the furniture and product displays focused to create a promenade along the windows to offer a unique redefined retail experience of premium Louis Vuitton collection, while allowing spectacular bay views of Singapore skyline.
Named as the only truly first ever luxury island, Louis Vuitton most extensive collection from its signature travel trunks which travellers first carried across the seas on steamers to leather bags and shoes as well as Fall Winter Men's and Women's Collection, including a watch and jewellery gallery are available exclusively here on the Island.
Award winning artist Richard Deacon
created a hanging sculpture inspired by the surface of the water on the mezzanine level on the Island pavilion.
The mezzanine of the Louis Vuitton Island offers exceptional views and is devoted to travel. Showcasing signature travel bags and the new ‘Made for Travel’ men’s collection which are characterized by its use of hi-tech fabrics are designed especially for modern travel.
A private lounge on the side of the mezzanine evokes the atmosphere of a private cabin in an ocean liner and an outdoor Loggia, reminiscent of a luxury deck patio represents the ultimate venue in luxury shopping is indeed Louis Vuitton Island Singapore.

Hong Kong Superstar Chow Yun Fat accompanied by his Singaporean wife, Jasmine together with Louis Vuitton Senior Management and numerous international celebrities, personalities and models including South Korea -Kang Sang Woo and Shin Min A, Japan - Nakata, Taiwan - Godfrey Gao, Vivian Hsu and Philip Huang, China - Zhao Wei, Lisa S. , Zhang Jing Chu, Du Juan, Zhao Lei, USA – Estelle, Singapore - Zoe Tay, Dr Georgia Lee, David Gan, Mrs Tina Tan-Leo and husband, Andrea De Cruz, Pierre Png, Felicia Chin, Daniel Boey joined in the grand opening and walked down the red carpet to be among the first to step into the luxury island.
All guests were then whisked by boat from Louis Vuitton Island Jetty across to One on the Bund, Fullerton Bay Hotel where an intense glitterati party awaits.
