LULU GUINNESS AUTUMN WINTER 2011/2012 SINGAPORE MEDIA LAUNCH AT SOLE2SOLE MILLENIA WALK

Lulu Guinness 2011/2012 Autumn Winter Collection Singapore launch was held at Sole2Sole, Millennia Walk, #01-47A/48.  A multi-label concept store, Sole2Sole stocks Lulu Guinness Collection, shoes and accessories from United Nude, French Sole, FitFlops, Desti Saint, Emma Vianni,  London Sole, Arch Shoe Salon, Bourne bridal shoes, Dialog bags, Fabio Rusconi, Fornarina, Jewels Atelier jewelry, Meher Kakalia, Navayos, Pons Quintana, Reina Dvine jewelry and Shumoo.

Lulu Guinness Autumn Winter Collection was inspired by the 1950’s Parisian Couture era.  Featuring  a  mix  of  heavy  thread  work  and elegant appliqué on soft leather, the new bags  reinterpret  the  allure  of  chic  feminine  fashion.

The luxurious effect of la femme parisienne’s draped gowns and cocktail dresses transpires in the  delicately  scrunched  leather  in  classic  black,  rich  burgundy  and  shimmery  metallic.

Eliza doll face bag from last season has been revisited with dark cherry patent coloured hair and studded  hair  bow.  Structured  box  clutches,  postcard  wallets  and  practical  totes  complement  happy moods.

Lovely roses and pretty cupcakes complete the romantic Parisan feel.

Diego conjured Cointreaupolitans, a delightful cocktail with Cointreau, one of my favourite liqueur as it is so versatile! Check out BARKODE, a minimalistic bar and café sitting along the five-foot walkway of Little India at 66 Dunlop Street.

Guests were invited to create their very own Couture Brooch using the materials provided. Which are your favourites ? They are all so lovely!

BEAUTERUNWAY’s Couture brooch on Desti Saint clutch. This is my first attempt in making a brooch.

First, I chose some pretty blue feathers. Next,  I stuck little white faux pearls onto the double sided tape. However, the black and blue beads were too tiny and heavy hence I cut a thin cardboard strip and used superglue to stick them together. Finally I straightened the ear ring hook and glued it on the back of my feather base and a brooch pin behind.

Amelia is the winner for Couture Brooch making and I was the runner-up.
